Akwa United Chairman Joseph Eno Receives Supporters Club on Courtesy Visit

The Chairman of Akwa United FC, Mr Joseph Eno, on Friday, October 3, 2025, received members of the club’s Supporters Club on a courtesy visit at the team’s camp in Uyo.

The visit, the first since the constitution of the new management team, was led by the Chairman of the Supporters Club Electoral Committee, Prince Imaikop Sunday. He conveyed the goodwill and solidarity of all members to the new management.

In their detailed message, the supporters recalled the journey of the Supporters Club since its formation in 1997. They shared fond memories of standing by the club through highs and lows, including winning two Federation Cups and the historic first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title in 2021. They further pledged their “unalloyed support” to the new management, promising to rally behind the team in its mission to secure promotion back to the NPFL in the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

“We will support our beloved Akwa United to return to the Premier League,” the supporters declared.

In his response, the Chairman of Akwa United FC, Mr Joseph Eno, flanked by members of his management team, expressed joy at meeting the Supporters Club, describing himself as “more than happy” to interact with them. He assured them of his “unmitigated passion for football,” which he said would drive the mission of returning the club to the NPFL.

Speaking on behalf of his management team, Eno said:

“We know our mission, we know our target, and we don’t have a choice than to take Akwa United back to the Premier League.”

He noted that the visit from the supporters had further boosted his confidence ahead of the new season, acknowledging the crucial role fans play in the success of the club. He pledged the full support of the management to the Supporters Club, adding that success could only be achieved as a family.

The chairman stressed that discipline would be a key watchword for the team in the coming season, while thanking the supporters for their commitment. He concluded:

“Success is on the way for Akwa United FC.”

Akwa United will begin their 2025/2026 NNL campaign with an opening game against Solution FC in November.
